Fourth-degree tear, normal childbirth swelling and discomfort, or somewhere in between, our Perineal Ice and Heat Pack Strips are a gentle, natural way to utilise hot and cold therapy for perineum healing.

Our Perineum Ice and Heat Pack Strips were designed in-house for a more comfortable day-to-day wear, with added flexibility, less bulk and a slimmer shape. Heated, our Perineal Heat Strips can provide perineum support in active labour plus reduce the chances of tearing and when frozen, offer cooling relief from discomfort associated with stiches, irritation, swelling and haemorrhoids.

We recommend you check Perineal Ice/Heat Pack temperature before using and do not exceed heating beyond 25 seconds. Heating beyond suggested times may cause injury or damage.

Wash in warm soapy water between uses.

Heat therapy

Use during 2nd stage of labour, apply warm compress to perineum area to reduce the risk of perineal tearing.

Microwave heating: 700 watt = 18 seconds / 1000 watt = 13 seconds / 1250 watt = 10 seconds.

Cold therapy

Best used to assist with postpartum perineum swelling, irritation and pain associated with tearing or haemorrhoids. Freeze for 3 hours.
